The Bachelor's Degree Program in Architectural Sciences (Corso di Laurea in Scienze dell’Architettura) aims at the acquisition of a first-level degree in Architectural Sciences. This 3-year program is organized into six academic semesters and features a single curriculum.
Upon completion of the educational track, the awarded degree guarantees, pursuant to DPR 328/2001, admission to the State Examination for registration in the Professional Register of Architects (Section B - "Architecture" Sector).

 

Objectives

The Bachelor's Degree Program in Architectural Sciences aims to train a professional figure who possesses conceptual and operational control of the basic methods and tools necessary to operate in the field of multi-scale design, within the specific realms of architecture, building construction, and land management. Within the educational pathway, knowledge is acquired through a balanced combination and structure of courses whose cultural content derives from the disciplinary fields of geographical-social, historical-critical, and linguistic-expressive studies, alongside others whose content belongs more specifically to logical-mathematical, geometric-descriptive, and physical-constructive areas.
Given this richness and plurality of disciplinary contents, the Degree Program bases its foundation on a strong synergy between the practical learning experience carried out in design studios (laboratori) and the more traditional approach of single-discipline courses. Further exploration of specific topics can be pursued through elective courses chosen by the student, which are also offered as thematic seminars, or through other educational initiatives such as workshops, field trips, and guided tours.
The curriculum also includes an internship to be carried out within professional practices, companies, or public administrations.
The final examination consists of a critical re-elaboration of the design and disciplinary experiences undertaken during the course of study, or the in-depth investigation of specific themes chosen by the student.

 

Acquired Professional Skills and the Job Market

Graduates in Architectural Sciences are offered diverse career opportunities within professional practices, architecture and engineering firms, companies, and public institutions, performing the functions designated for members registered under Section B of the "Architecture" sector, as explicitly indicated by DPR 328/2001. These include: collaboration in design activities and construction supervision for building works, including public works; direct and instrumental surveying of contemporary and historical buildings; and the design and construction supervision of simple civil structures, as well as maintenance and redevelopment interventions on existing buildings using standardized methodologies.
For those choosing to continue their studies, the Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Sciences grants access, without credit deficits, to the Master of Science (Laurea Magistrale) in Architecture (Class LM-4). Through this path, and upon passing the State Examination, it is possible to register in the Professional Register of the Order of Architects with the title of Architect – Section A, in compliance with European Union regulations.
